The testing included actual cooking-oil fire performance tests, heptane fire tests, construction requirements, general performance, electrical resistance, marking and traceability.

Class F Cooking-Oil Fire Performance: Independently Tested
Cooking-oil and fat fires are classified as Class F fires. Demonstrating performance against this type of fire is particularly important for fire blankets intended for kitchen applications.
DVM does not rely solely on a manufacturer's statement that its fire blankets comply with EN 1869:2019. The DVM 1.2 × 1.8 m fire blanket series has undergone actual fire-performance testing by TÜV SÜD.
During the cooking-oil fire test, TÜV SÜD used 3 litres of edible cooking oil. Two test specimens were evaluated.
- Both specimens successfully extinguished the cooking-oil fire.
- No visible flames remained after removal of the fire blankets.
- No re-ignition occurred within the specified observation period.
- Both tested specimens received a PASS conclusion.
These results provide independently documented evidence of the tested DVM fire blankets' performance against cooking-oil fires (Class F) under the specified EN 1869:2019 test conditions.

TÜV SÜD also evaluated the DVM 1.2 × 1.8 m fire blanket series using a controlled heptane fire test.
Both tested specimens met the applicable extinguishing requirements and received a PASS conclusion.
