RETURNS (Right of withdrawal)
This Return Policy applies to consumer purchases made through the DVM International webshop where a statutory right of withdrawal exists under applicable European consumer legislation.
Standard webshop products are generally covered by the consumer right of withdrawal described below. Different conditions may apply to Business Solutions, Private Label products, OEM projects and other customised products or services.
Where a product is manufactured, customised or supplied according to a customer's specific requirements, the statutory right of withdrawal may not apply or may be limited in accordance with applicable law. Any applicable exceptions will be stated in the quotation, order confirmation or other written agreement.
You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving any reason. After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product.
You will be refunded the full order amount, including the standard shipping costs originally charged for delivery.
The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs, unless the product is defective or incorrectly delivered. Return shipping costs depend on the carrier and country.
If you exercise your right of withdrawal, the product must be returned with all supplied accessories and, where reasonably possible, in its original condition and packaging. If the product or packaging has been damaged beyond what is necessary to assess the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product, DVM International may charge for the resulting reduction in value, where permitted by applicable law.

We will refund the purchase amount within 14 days after receiving your withdrawal request. We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned product or proof that it has been shipped, whichever occurs first.

Refunds
Once your return has been received and inspected, we will process your refund. If the product or its packaging has been damaged beyond what is necessary to assess the product, we may charge for the resulting reduction in value where permitted by applicable law. Please handle the product with care and ensure it is properly packaged when returning it.
Warranty
10-Year Commercial Guarantee of Durability – DVM Fire Blankets
DVM International B.V. provides a 10-year commercial guarantee of durability for the DVM fire blankets listed below. This guarantee is provided free of charge and is additional to the consumer's statutory rights.
This guarantee applies to the following DVM fire blankets:
- DVM-FBAG-1X1 – Fire Blanket 1.0 × 1.0 m – Bag
- DVM-FBOX-1X1 – Fire Blanket 1.0 × 1.0 m – Box
- DVM-FBAG-1.2X1.8 – Fire Blanket 1.2 × 1.8 m – Bag
- DVM-FBOX-1.2X1.8 – Fire Blanket 1.2 × 1.8 m – Box
The commercial guarantee of durability applies for 10 years from the date of purchase.
DVM International B.V. guarantees that during this period the unused fire blanket will retain its required functions and performance, provided that it has been stored, maintained and inspected in accordance with the instructions supplied with the product.
The fire blanket must be visually inspected at least once a year. If the blanket, its pull tabs or its packaging show damage or deterioration that could affect safe deployment or performance, the product must be replaced.
Single-use product
A DVM fire blanket is a single-use fire-safety product. Once the blanket has been deployed in a fire, it must always be replaced and must not be reused. Deployment of the fire blanket in a fire constitutes performance of its intended single-use function and does not constitute a defect in durability.
Remedy under the guarantee
If, during the 10-year guarantee period, the fire blanket no longer retains its required functions or performance due to a defect covered by this guarantee, DVM International B.V. will replace the product free of charge.
For this product, replacement is the appropriate remedy because a used or defective fire blanket is not intended to be repaired and returned to service.
What is not covered
The commercial guarantee of durability does not cover loss of function or damage resulting from:
- use of the fire blanket in a fire;
- incorrect use or handling;
- incorrect storage;
- contamination, including contamination by oil, chemicals, soot or other substances;
- cutting, tearing or other physical damage;
- exposure to conditions incompatible with the supplied storage and maintenance instructions;
- failure to replace the product when an inspection shows damage or deterioration that could affect its safe deployment or performance.
Normal cosmetic ageing or discolouration of the Bag or Box that does not affect the safe storage, deployment or performance of the fire blanket does not in itself invalidate this guarantee.
Making a guarantee claim
To make a claim under this guarantee, please contact info@dvm-i.com.
The consumer must provide reasonable proof of purchase showing the date of purchase. This may include a sales receipt, invoice, order confirmation or other reliable evidence of purchase. Please also provide the product model, a description of the problem and, where reasonably required to assess the claim, photographs of the product.
No charge will be made to the consumer for making a valid claim under this commercial guarantee of durability.
Statutory consumer rights
This commercial guarantee of durability is provided in addition to the consumer's statutory rights.
The consumer is entitled by law to remedies from the seller, free of charge, in the event of a lack of conformity of the goods. Those statutory rights are not affected or limited by this commercial guarantee.

Business Solutions, Private Label and OEM projects
Where permitted by applicable law, products manufactured or modified according to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised for the customer are not subject to the statutory right of withdrawal. This may include Private Label and OEM products where they are specifically manufactured, printed or otherwise personalised for the customer.
Business Solutions, customised quotations and project orders may also be subject to separate contractual arrangements regarding cancellation, production, payment, delivery and acceptance. Where such arrangements have been agreed in writing, those agreements take precedence for the relevant order or project.
