The volume of 2 litres is adequate for an average to large household. Yet, light enough to be handled by all people.
Supplied with a metal mounting bracket (black) to easily mount the extinguisher to the wall or in a cabinet.
Extinguishing capacity of this Fire extinguisher: 5A, 34B, F.
This means the capacity of this foam extinguisher is equal to 5 litres of water for a Fire class A fire and equal to 34 litres of water for a class B fire.
Note: For professional use the extinguisher needs to be serviced every 2 years.
In contrast to a powder extinguisher, the foam residue is easy to remove after extinguishing a fire and leaves virtually no collateral damage.
(dry powder from a powder extinguisher consists of salts and will destroy electrical equipment and damage your interior)
Fire class A:
Solids, like furniture, clothing, curtains and wood.
A water extinguisher or a foam extinguisher is sufficient for a fire in this class.
Fire class B:
Liquids and liquifying substances: petrol, oil and greases.
A water extinguisher is not sufficient for this. A spray foam extinguisher or a powder extinguisher is more appropriate for a fire class B fire.
Fire class F:
Oils and fats.
The best way to extinguish these types of fires is by means of a spray foam extinguisher.
Especially Fire class F is important for home applications, to extinguish fires originating from cooking (kitchen).
